Area Organizations Asking For Your Help In Opposing the Cross Creek Landfill

Recently, many local chamber member businesses participated in an online survey sponsored by the Chamber aimed at gathering feedback about the proposal to reopen the Crossridge Landfill in Cross Creek Township. The results showed over 80% of the 171 respondents being against this proposal and 15% undecided.

If you would like to show your business or organization’s opposition to this proposed project, two local groups can help. The Steubenville Revitalization Group and the newly formed non-profit organization, Friends of Cross Creek, are both gathering letters of opposition on company letterhead which will be sent on to elected officials and decision makers. Please submit a signed letter on company letterhead stating what negative impact you believe the landfill would have on the local community and/or your business or organization specifically. Letters may be sent via regular mail or email to the address.
