Safety Council

2024-2025 Enrollment Now Open!

The Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) has established Safety Councils in every county across Ohio. Employers who attend these monthly 60-minute meetings and presentations on safety, leadership, and wellness topics can qualify for a 3% reduction in their Workers’ Compensation costs.

Jefferson County Safety Council is designed to deliver valuable information to employers of all sizes, industries, and leadership structures. Are you a subject matter expert in a safety and/or wellness topic* and appreciate an educational forum to share your passion to the community? We would love to host your presentation. Please email with more information!

*Appropriate JCSC topics include traditional occupational safety and health, risk management, workers’ compensation, and health and wellness topics. Business related, safety-focused topics including culture, leadership, motivation, environmental, social and behavioral workplace issues, and Total Worker Health are also appropriate.
