Safety Council

2024-2025 Enrollment Now Open!

The Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) has established Safety Councils in every county across Ohio. Employers who attend these monthly 60-minute meetings and presentations on safety, leadership, and wellness topics can qualify for a 3% reduction in their Workers’ Compensation costs.

Jefferson County Safety Council is designed to deliver valuable information to employers of all sizes, industries, and leadership structures. How to Attend

JCSC events are hosted in Founder’s Hall at Eastern Gateway Community College, on the third Wednesday of the month, starting at noon. RSVP for the upcoming meeting by visiting jeffersoncountychamber.com/events.

*Appropriate JCSC topics include traditional occupational safety and health, risk management, workers’ compensation, and health and wellness topics. Business related, safety-focused topics including culture, leadership, motivation, environmental, social and behavioral workplace issues, and Total Worker Health are also appropriate.
