The Chamber

The Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary, not-for-profit association of businesses, professionals and individuals who invest their time, talent and finances toward the betterment of the communities in and around Jefferson County, Ohio.  The Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce, incorporated in 1908, is organized and dedicated to achieving seven main objectives through a variety of programs and initiatives.

– Preserving the competitive enterprise system of business by creating a better understanding and appreciation of the importance of business people.

– Educating the business community and representing them on city, county, state, and national legislative and political affairs.

– Preventing or addressing controversies which are detrimental to the expansion and growth of business and community should they arise.

– Creating a greater appreciation of a more liberal investment of substance and self on behalf of the interests of competitive business.

– Fostering business, industry and community growth by promoting economic programs designed to strengthen and expand the income potential of all businesses within the trade area.

– Promoting programs of a civic, social and cultural nature which are designed to increase the functional and aesthetic values of the area.

– Discovering and correcting abuses, which prevent the promotion of business expansion and community growth.
