Two Easy Ways To Shop Locally

The Chamber’s slate of “Shift Your Shopping” programs and activities grows each year and this year we’re excited to have added TWO new ways for you to support local businesses. They’re easy, convenient and show your community pride.

1. The Chamber’s homepage has a new section called, “Home For The Holidays.” It includes visitor information, a complete listing of Chamber member businesses and a printable online “Holiday Gift Guide”! You may access it by clicking here . I’m willing to bet that there are more than a few businesses on it that you haven’t thought about for holiday shopping AND some new ones that you should check out. Stop in and say hello – I promise you that the experience will far exceed logging in to shop online or battling the out-of-town traffic.

2. The Chamber’s online store has two Christmas ornaments and two t-shirt designs that you may purchase with the click of a button. And we’ll even ship them for you with a personal message included. The ornaments make great gifts for loved ones who have moved away (or those who live here) and want their tree decor to include a reminder of home. One features all of the Jefferson County cities and villages and the other shows our 14 townships. Click here to access the online store. You may also stop by the Chamber to make your purchase. Offices will be open until 1 p.m. today and on Monday and Tuesday of next week from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.

And last, want a fun way to check out gift ideas? Take a look at the Chamber’s Facebook page by clicking here and you’ll see all of our “travelling gift caravan” stops – with more happening today!

Remember, the businesses listed on our Holiday Gift Guide and our online business directory are the ones who support the Chamber and our local community day after day, year after year. They are those who continue to believe in our area, even when it’s tough, and the ones who realize the importance of Chamber membership and working together for the greater good. (Watch for their Chamber membership decal or plaque) They are your neighbors, family members and friends and those who would be the first to step up if you or your family were in need. Make this the year you “look local first” and show the recipients on your gift list your hometown pride.
