Programs & Services

Ambassador Club
Know as the "volunteer arm" of the Chamber, this group of over 25 members is made up of employees, business owners and managers of Chamber member companies. Ambassadors assist the Chamber at special events, ribbon cuttings, grand openings and many other important programs of the Chamber. The main focus of the Ambassadors, however, is to act as a liaison between the Chamber staff and the membership, gathering important feedback from Chamber members and offering assistance so that members get the most from their membership. Check with the Chamber to see if there are openings available.

Business Watch
This program is a crime prevention initiative which establishes the Chamber as a liaison between member businesses and the local police departments. Through increased awareness and open communication between local law officials and the Chamber, all local businesses can achieve and maintain a safer atmosphere, discourage illegal activity and work toward a more positive overall image to attract shoppers. The primary goal of the program is for groups involved to assist each other in a unified effort to reduce business related crimes and other activity which negatively affects the business community. Business Watch is available free of charge to all Chamber members. An interested business completes a short application and returns it to the Chamber offices.

How Business Watch Works -- The program included two parts.
Fax fan-out — The Chamber is notified by a business, a local police department or the Sheriff's department regarding a lost check book or savings account book, bad checks being written, counterfeit money being used, shoplifting or burglary schemes, vandalism, loitering or other negative activity involving or affecting the business community. By use of broadcast fax system at the Chamber, members who have signed up for Business Watch receive notice of the report and are able to alert employees, security personnel, etc. Those without fax machines are phones.
Membership Decals- Those registered for Business Watch receive a door/window decal to notify those entering the business that they are involved in an anti-crime watch group. This may discourage illegal activity in and around the business by letting those who enter know that the employees are on the alert.
